The final three chapters of this prophecy describe a period of great mourning in Jerusalem, a time of repentance, and a transition from physical conflict to spiritual awakening for the people of Israel. It looks forward to a future time, "on that day", when God will finally and completely restore the nation back to its status as God's chosen people as well as the establishment of God's physical and spiritual kingdom.
