PASSAGE SUMMARY
A sign acts of crowning Joshua the high priest as King gives us a beautiful picture of Jesus to come. But after this, the people question whether God even noticed that they were in mourning over the state of Israel. In checking their hearts and not just their actions, God calls out their selfishness in holding fasts and points them instead to realize the complete restoration to come and the joy that has been prepared for them.
